Dirt Candy: A Cookbook

It was a joy and a privilege to collaborate with chef Amanda Cohen (James Beard award-nominated chef, restauranteur and Iron Chef Canada cast member) on her first cookbook, detailing the recipes for and the origin story of Dirt Candy, the revolutionary, celebrated and Michelin starred vegetable restaurant in New York City. A true collaboration from start to finish, Amanda and I recruited in her husband, writer Grady Hendix, to translate Amanda's recipes, anecdotes and personal philosophies into a unique hybrid cookbook and comic book memoir that we all love and is unlike anything any of us have ever done before. The recipes are super tasty and it's really funny too!

Published by Clarkson/Potter in 2012, Dirt Candy: A Cookbook is in its 8th printing (as of this writing) and available in bookstores everywhere. Since the publication of the cookbook I've continued to work with Amanda and Dirt Candy, producing illustrations for signage, promotion and catered events.
